Hello, I’m Jenny. I am in my 60’s and now have the grey hair to go with it since I finally decided to stop colouring my hair. I love to write about our travels and in particular our travels in our fabulous motorhome. As a child my family went caravanning and this type of holidaying continued into adulthood. My husband, Richard, and I even borrowed my parents caravan to take on our honeymoon. We spent three lovely weeks touring from our home town of Griffith NSW along the NSW north coast all the way to Brisbane and back.
We have owned a variety of caravans over the years and in 2008 we hired a motorhome from Melbourne, took it across Bass Straight on the Spirit of Tasmania and spent three weeks traveling around Tasmania with four other dear friends. We each had hired motorhomes for that trip and thoroughly enjoyed traveling in convoy and all the free camping that Tassie has to offer.
Not long afterwards the Campervan & Motorhome Club of Australia (CMCA) held one of its rallies in Griffith and we went along to the open day where you could view the motorhomes and chat to the owners. The motorhomes ranged from little whizzbangers (the campers with the sliding door that goes whizzzzz bang) to the huge ‘big rigs’. We became members of the CMCA and each month I eagerly awaited our copy of The Wanderer magazine arriving in the post so I could trawl the Members Market for a suitable motorhome.
I hope you enjoy reading of our travels as much as I enjoy writing about them.
